"Our wedding day was truly special. We had the best day, and a huge part of that was because of how smoothly the Gorse Hill team ran the day. From the moment we booked Gorse Hill, to the day itself, we felt in the safest of hands with Nicky and the team. The communication was excellent, and all of our questions were answered quickly and thoughtfully. So many of our guests complimented the beautiful venue, and we had lots of 'best wedding food I've ever had' comments about the wedding breakfast! Even in the rain, it was the perfect venue and we don't think we could have chosen anywhere better. The bridal and honeymoon suites were so comfortable, and it was lovely to come down to breakfast the next day with so many of our guests still there. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, it was a perfect weekend. We are already planning to come back for our first anniversary!"

The most perfect dayWe had our wedding at Gorse Hill Hotel on Friday 29th May 2026, and we would like to thank everyone at Gorse Hill for making our wedding so perfect, memorable and enjoyable. Nicky, the wedding manager, was a brilliant help from the very beginning of the process up until and including the day itself. Her communication, attention to detail, and ongoing support was incredible, and she truly went above and beyond to make us and our guests feel welcome. From greeting family members when they visited prior to the wedding, to checking in on us on the morning of the wedding, to popping down to say hi the day after the wedding, we felt thoroughly supported and welcomed by Nicky. She is a professional, personable, and thoughtful person, and is a brilliant wedding manager. Brandon, our coordinator on the wedding day, was absolutely amazing. Brandon was there for our pre-wedding meal the evening before, and he was an invaluable support. He helped us in surprising one of our groomsmen with a cake for his birthday, and even helped us as we rehearsed our aisle walks for the ceremony, advising who should stand where and on which side. On the wedding day, Brandon was such a positive and grounding presence. He was there from the very start to the very end of the day, and made sure everything ran seamlessly. Philippe, the restaurant manager, was truly wonderful during our wedding tasting. He supported us in making the right choices for our wedding menu, whilst also making sure we had a memorable and enjoyable evening. He was funny, kind, and really made this an experience to remember. The venue itself is stunning. We had our ceremony on the garden lawn outside the Mansion House, and we were so lucky with the weather. The grounds were incredibly kept, with the gardener looking after this the day prior to the wedding, and the beauty of the venue and gardens was complimented by so many of our guests. Our wedding breakfast was held in the Mansion House restaurant and was incredible. The food was delicious, and the food service was impeccable, with every guest on a table being served at the exact same time. We were so impressed with how seamless this was. Our evening reception was held in the Garden Suite, which felt like a second whole venue! We opted for the Mexican Buffet for our evening food, and once again the food did not disappoint. We have received many compliments from our guests about the delicious food, impeccable service, and hugely friendly staff. The team were amazing at setting up the Garden Suite exactly how we pictured, with attention to detail at every moment. The venue is absolutely dreamy in the evening with the beautiful string lighting across the path, and felt so comfortable and relaxing for us and our guests. We would highly recommend Gorse Hill to any couple on the hunt for their perfect wedding venue. It is such a beautiful venue, with so many perfect photo opportunities, and (in comparison to many other venues we visited) feels so private and personal. Thank you again to everyone at Gorse Hill for helping to make our day so perfect. We look forward to visiting soon to reminisce on our wonderful day.

Memorable Day at a Memorable VenueNicky Tough, the wedding manager was incredible from our initial video call conversation about the venue, our site visit, all the way through to the day itself. It was a dry hire but she supported us all the way through with what we needed and what worked for our budget, every step of the way. Gorse Hill venue was stunning. All the rooms were of generous sizes and our guests could not stop complimenting the venue. The staff from the reception, to breakfast and other hotel staff were all very friendly. I would 100% recommend this venue.

Best Day Of Our LivesWe truly had the best day of our lives, everything we have dreamt of and more. The team are a true credit to Gorse Hill from the wedding team, the waitresses/waiters, chefs. (That says a lot from Harry - the Groom - who is a chef)! We honestly have no complaints about our day, it ran so smoothly, we have had so many compliments on the food, the staff, the venue and gardens itself and guests saying it’s the best wedding they’ve ever been to! Also, cannot fault the suppliers you recommend too. Thank you for making us feel so calm and reassured from the lead up to the wedding day itself. You went above and beyond and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. Every single key detail we listed/requested was there waiting for us. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend anyone getting married at Gorse Hill, it truly is an amazing venue with such attentive staff and we will definitely be returning for a dinner! We Had The Most Wonderful WeddingWe had the most wonderful wedding at Gorse Hill Hotel, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. From the very beginning, Nicky was absolutely incredible - her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made the entire planning process stress-free and enjoyable. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she went above and beyond to make sure every part of the day ran smoothly. On the wedding day itself, the event staff were outstanding and special shout out to Nicky, Brandon & Scott. They were attentive, friendly, and ensured that everything flowed perfectly from start to finish. The evening staff were also incredible, making sure the party continued without a hitch and that all of our guests had the best possible time. Many of our guests commented on how seamless the service was and how welcome they felt throughout the day and night. Thanks to Nicky and the whole team, our day was even more special than we could have imagined. We are so grateful for their hard work, kindness, and expertise - they truly made it unforgettable.

The Service Ran Like ClockworkI would only like to pass on my sincere thanks and praise for how good the organisation of our special day was and how good the service on the day of the wedding lunch was including with all of the hotel accommodation and dinners. The lunch room was beautifully setup, the service ran like clockwork and the food was excellent. The cake has a beautiful stand. The flowers and card box strategically placed. The hotel accommodation was excellent with a very beautiful and spacious room. Our family and friends enjoyed their stay very much and so did we. All in all high praise from us indeed.

We honestly had the best dayThank you for all your support on the day and leading up to the day! We honestly had the best day, it went so quickly and smoothly! Brandon was great at coordinating the day! Particularly in the evening where we had lots planned, champagne tower, cake, first dance, sparklers & set up 4 shot trolleys for us! The food was amazing and the waiters / waitresses were so great and efficient. We had so many compliments on the food and the venue.

The best dayWe got married at Gorse Hill on 26th May and even though this was their fourth wedding in a row, they still made our day the best for us. Nicky our wedding coordinator was very helpful throughout the whole process with whatever questions we had. Brandon and his team on the day helped things run smoothly so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Even without asking they sorted out matching lighting in the ceiling alcoves to match our colour scheme. The food was great too. We would highly recommend this venue!

The day was just perfection
"We had the most beautiful wedding day at Gorse Hill Hotel in Surrey on Friday. The team at Gorse Hill are fantastic and made the whole booking process stress free, the communication and support throughout was excellent. There are 3 wedding packages and we went for the top one because it was extremely well priced and you get so much for your money. We chose to get married on a Friday because we wanted the manor house for our ceremony and wedding Breakfast and then had our reception in the garden suite at the rear of the venue- this made it two venues in one which was amazing and worked so well. The venue is stunning- the pictures outside were absolutely gorgeous and the grounds are stunning and so well kept. The wedding coordinator and events manager were excellent and keep the day running so smoothly, checking in with us throughout. The food was absolutely brilliant, all our guests were commenting on how good it was, and we really enjoyed the included menu tasting day earlier in the year.
There are plenty of rooms on site and with our package we got the bridal suite, and two complimentary deluxe rooms included for our parents. I stayed the night before with the bridal party and the getting ready room is a large size perfect for Early morning hair and makeup. The whole day was just perfection, everything we had ever dreamed of. Thank you so much Gorse Hill for an unforgettable time."
